Salvador-Do-Mundo Bardez Goa
The Village Panchayat of Salvador-Do-Mundo is the local self-government institution for the historic village of Salvador do Mundo (locally known as Saloi) in Bardez taluka, North Goa. Established in 1963 when Village Panchayats were introduced across Goa, the Panchayat is responsible for local civic administration across its nine wards, including roads, sanitation, public facilities, development works and Gram Sabha activities, while preserving the village's centuries-old identity and traditions.

Salvador do Mundo is an old village in Bardez taluka, North Goa. The name is Portuguese for “Saviour of the World.” The village is locally known as Saloi, and its residents are traditionally called Saloikars.
Salvador do Mundo was historically part of the larger Serula comunidade, which also included areas that later became Socorro, Penha de França and parts of Pomburpa. The village has a long Christian and Portuguese-era history — the Salvador do Mundo Church is traditionally dated to around the 16th century (built in 1565) and is among Goa's oldest surviving churches. The parish feast is celebrated on 6 August, associated with the Transfiguration of Jesus. The village's own historical account also refers to older Hindu traditions and local places of worship, including traditions associated with Vandevta, Vital, Vhoddhi and Dhaktli Jandevta.
A major administrative change came after Goa's liberation: Village Panchayats were introduced in Goa in 1963, replacing the earlier traditional village-community administrative structure, and Salvador do Mundo became an independent Village Panchayat. Since then the Panchayat has been responsible for local civic administration, including roads, sanitation, public facilities, development works, records and Gram Sabha activities. Its records include births and deaths from 1971 onward, along with construction, occupancy and Panchayat works records.

- Salvador do Mundo Church – One of Goa's oldest surviving churches, built in 1565, with the parish feast celebrated every 6 August.
- The Mount Chapel – Holds services during the Lenten season.
- Smt. Sunandabai Bandodkar High School – Located near the Village Panchayat; all Gram Sabha meetings are held here.
- Multipurpose Complex, Salai – The Panchayat's own office premises, also housing a gymnasium, badminton court, boxing ring, tennis court, football ground, pharmacy and community hall for local events.
Jurisdiction
The Panchayat's jurisdiction consists of nine wards: Defence Colony, Vijaynagar, Alto Torda, Badem, Paithona, Salem, Gangoz, Quitla and Donvaddo. Government education records also identify the Serula schools at Britona and Paithan as falling under the Salvador-do-Mundo Panchayat.
